Hirondelle

The Belmond Hirondelle barge is decorated in soft country shades and its relaxed atmosphere is perfectly in tune with the gentle scenery outside. Large picture windows and skylights flood the airy lounge with natural sunlight, making it the ideal spot to relax and watch rural France pass by, as the crew attend to your every need.

Four spacious cabins have oak-panelled ceilings and en-suite with shower. Two cabins can be configured as twins or doubles, one cabin is a fixed double, the other a fixed twin.

Take a cooking class with the Chef in his kitchen, or alternatively, spend leisurely hours on the sun deck and sip Champagne as the day fades into night. Enjoy a gourmet supper in the dining room, and then return outside to gaze at stars sparkling in the navy sky above.

Belmond Afloat in France is now offering 3 night cruises on board the 4 cabin barges Amaryllis, Hirondelle,  Pivoine and Lilas. 

These new 3 night journeys are based on existing routes with a change over in the middle of the week, and will therefore depart on set Sunday’s and wednesday’s throughout our 2018 season.

As all 3 night journeys are available for charter only, there are no open sailing cabins available.
